"He sunk his 6-inch fangs into her skull. Blood sprayed out. He tossed his head back and laughed as she screamed. He couldn't help it. What fun! What deliciously unclean fun!"

Azriel Creed has gotten fat since slaughtering all the zombies.

During the past year he’s lived a life of leisure -- drinking, partying, and ignoring the blood-thirsty monsters his race was bred to hunt and kill. His sedentary lifestyle made him flabby and out-of-shape. He has to hold his breath just to tie his shoes. He gets winded merely walking up and down stairs. And he's more concerned about pleasing his bitchy, iPhone-addicted girlfriend than his destiny as the most ruthless assassin of evil beings who has ever lived.

But Azriel's charmed way of life is cut short when an insane vampire obsessed with skinning people alive is resurrected and sends his dark agents after him. In order to survive, Azriel is forced to team up with a violent, sex-crazed grandma who constantly lusts after him, and a 5,000-year-old vampire who can't piss because of prostate problems, and who spends all his time either tormenting his concubine or trying to kill himself.

While Azriel struggles to stay alive and battles enemies both new and old, he soon discovers he's the only one who can stop an evil that has existed since before the days of Noah from turning the world into a literal apocalyptic hell on earth.

Vampire Apocalypse The Enoch Wars Book 2 eBook Ben Settle

Another novel, another mind-porn. Seriously, if you're looking for a form of pure entertainment that doesn't care about tried-and-true literary story-lines... you've found it. Between the ass-old vampire Fezziwig and the obsessively horny grandmother, these characters (and this plot) couldn't possibly have any deeper meaning.

...or could they?

Vampire Apocalypse is like Shrek. (1) Many layers, like an onion. (2) Entertainment for the simple-minded, and inside-jokes for the adults. And (3) an acute awareness of who its target audience is. Let me spell it out for you. If you love traditional vampire, teenager, romance novels... then this book is NOT for you. If you're a literary critic whom feels cheated if you spend four bucks and don't get the same predictable thrill-ride you experience when reading about hobbits or a pre-pube magician (whose name might rhyme with "Larry Snotter") then this book is not for you either.

But if you're a dude who unapologetically enjoys twisted s#it... and want to fill your daytime/nighttime gaps with a ridiculous(ly entertaining) underdog story instead of the usual LEBRON/MANZIEL crap on ESPN?

Then buy the damn book and eat your heart out.

Vampire Apocalypse The Enoch Wars Book 2 eBook Ben Settle Reviews

I don't know why I resisted reading Vampire Apocalypse for so long.

Maybe because I like Vampires less than Zombies, or maybe it's because I read Ben saying that this book was less about the action and more brainy.

Both preconceptions turned out to be false... I liked Fezzwig a lot ... and hated him at the same time. That old, hateful republican vampire.

And the non-stop action was yummy and disgusting at the same time. Do you hire a perversion expert or is it all you?

Anyways... couldn't put it down. Read in one sitting. Next Please.
As much as I really needed sleep, I just had to find out how this book ended!

The author makes it impossible for me to data map anything with even a sliver of accuracy. This is rare in novels these days.

The characters in this sequel are more developed than those in Zombie Cop (which I love). In fact, "Granny" still creeps me out, makes me sick to my stomach, and leaves me wishing I could erase her from my memory all together.

Loved this book! I had committed to reading two chapters a day for one week.

Wishful thinking.

I read the whole book in about 4 hours time over three days!

That said, I recommend this book to anyone who likes to have their mind bent in a messed up sort of way and to anyone who has an appreciation for monsters and the supernatural in general.

If you're nitpicky about minor spelling issues...well, there's a note from "Fezziwig" on the very last page. Start there. ;)
The action and surprises never let-up for breather in Ben Settle's latest instalment in the Enoch Wars Saga.

I'm not big into the Vampire and Zombie genre. In saying that I found Ben Settle's Vampire Apocalypse and also the previous instalment - Zombie Cop - highly readable and entertaining.

One of things Settle does extremely well is take a genre that's been beaten to death lately, in popular books and block buster movies, and comes at it with a completely novel approach.

With all the elements I like... fast action, graphic details, a solid plot, and unexpected twists... I'm really looking forward to the next book in the Enoch Wars series.
Fan of the genre or not, this book has all the elements of an incredible story. The characters are well developed and come to life quickly in a three dimensional world. I quickly and easily got wrapped up in the story, and within the first few pages I saw words come to life. I was able to see the action unfold as if I were right there in the middle of it all.

There's no doubt about it. This author knows how to write. I was hooked right away, and now I have to go back and pick up the first volume in the series. Whether it's relevant or not, I'm sold on the story. Hook, line, and sinker. I need to know as much as I can.

Ben is a master storyteller than knows precisely just how to hook you in and make you love his story. I was hanging on every single word, while sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens next. What a wild ride! Be sure to check it out NOW!
What the hell did I just read? It's 2 parts weird religious speculation, 3 parts raucous horror story (think Saturday the 14th meets Lost Boys while tripping on mushrooms in the woods with Rob Zombie), and 1 part insanely applicable, real-world advice on inner power and relationships.

I loved Zombie Cop and still have a bit of it churning in my guts. I devoured Vampire Apocalypse in half the time with twice the zeal.

Ben's irreverence shines bright, and every time I thought I knew what was going on in the story, my assumptions were smacked down with revelations each more delightful than the last.

I can't help but feel this series is building to something quite spectacular.

The battle scenes make me pray for this to come out as a TV series (I'd love to join the team of writers if it ever does!)

Just get the books. They're engaging and fun!
